Noir is the creation of Lacoste, a French company founded in 1933. This fashion house began as asportswear manufacturer. The company is known worldwide for tennis shirts with a green crocodile logo. In the 1980s, watches, footwear, fragrances, leather goods and sunglasses were introduced. It was 1984 when fragrances were launched. A family-owned Swiss company, Maus Freres, became the owners in 2012.
